This notice applies to assemblydigital.com, a professional site published by Michael Preuss. The site provides public writing, work examples, and contact information; it does not offer user accounts, checkout, or an on-site contact form. Linked services apply their own privacy notices and terms.

This site automatically uses PostHog analytics to understand page visits, page exits, named interactions, Core Web Vitals, and application exceptions. PostHog uses first-party browser storage to maintain a persistent pseudonymous identifier and may process sanitized page paths, campaign and referral information, browser and device details, IP-derived approximate location, timestamps, performance measurements, and named interaction events. Analytics requests may pass through a managed first-party proxy operated with PostHog and Cloudflare. Broad autocapture, session recording, heatmaps, surveys, dead-click tracking, console recording, product tours, and feature flags are disabled. The site does not intentionally send message contents, Read With prompts, email addresses, or other directly identifying contact information to PostHog.

If you email Michael, your message is processed by the email services used by you and Michael. It is used to respond, keep appropriate correspondence records, and protect against abuse. Email is separate from site analytics. Do not include passwords or sensitive personal, customer, financial, or health information in an initial message.

Site data is used to operate and secure the website, understand which public material is useful, diagnose technical problems, and improve navigation and content. Data may be processed by hosting, analytics, security, and email providers acting as service providers. It may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety. This site does not run a program that sells visitor contact information to data brokers.

PostHog analytics events are configured for a 12-month retention period. Hosting data follows the hosting provider's retention controls. Direct correspondence is kept only while reasonably useful for the conversation, professional records, security, or legal obligations. Provider backup copies may follow separate deletion cycles.
