My entrepreneurial journey began with Assembly, a firm I founded with a core focus on user-centred design and delivering high-quality digital products. This venture set the foundation for what would eventually grow into Palms, a larger, digital-first branding powerhouse.
Building Assembly: A Focus on User-Centric Design
Assembly started as a consulting practice, emphasizing the importance of user-centered design in creating impactful digital products. Our growth was driven by our ability to co-create tailored solutions with our clients, leading to an expanded team of full-time staff and contract specialists. A key project that exemplifies our approach at Assembly is the work we did for Earnest Ice Cream. This project highlighted our commitment to aligning design with our clients' brand values and customer expectations.
Transition to Palms: Expanding the Vision
The success of Assembly set the stage for its evolution into Palms. Under my leadership, Palms thrived, achieving 12% revenue growth year over year. This was accomplished by deeply understanding client needs, leveraging customer data insights, and delivering results-oriented, user-centric products. Palms grew from a team of four to twelve in just three years, adding numerous new clients, many of whom entered into retainer service agreements.
A Legacy of Innovation and Growth
The journey from Assembly to Palms marks a significant chapter in my career, showcasing the impact of a user-centric approach coupled with strategic business development. This evolution from a small consulting practice to a larger, multifaceted digital branding agency exemplifies the power of aligning design with client and market needs.
